Cake for your Furry Friend

photo 1 (4)

I made this cute cake as a treat for Eddy after he passed the test to become a registered Therapy Dog with Therapy Dogs International and a Canine Good Citizen with the American Kennel Club.  At this point, I had already taken wheat out of his diet (suspected allergies), so I wasn’t quite sure how it was going to turn out.  This is just peanut butter and plain greek yogurt (come to find out, he is allergic to both).

This was originally posted at (my other website where you can find craft tutorials and more), but I thought it made sense to bring it over here to share with you lovely folks!

Read on for instructions!

You will need:

– peanut butter

– plain greek yogurt

– bowl and spoon

– small plastic container that you will use as a mold

– plastic bag and food coloring if you want to decorate your cake

Mix equal parts yogurt and peanut butter.

Scoop most of the mixture into the plastic container, and place in the freezer.  Add food coloring to the rest, stir, and place in a plastic bag for decorating.

I let Eddy lick the bowl

Leave the plastic container in the freezer for a few hours.  After it sets, take it out of the freezer and put it on a plate.  Then, decorate!  I added some banana around the edges
